    As one of only two Group HR Administrators within the 6th largest private company in the UK, I have had the advantage of becoming involved with all aspects of HR and have assumed responsibility for a number of procedures. Duties include:

    Completed 3 weeks work experience in May and went on to be employed on a permanent basis. Duties included writing pieces for newsletters and press releases, processing coverage, composing press lists, answering phones and completing administrative work. I enjoyed this experience, finding media to be a fast-paced and competitive environment, where it is crucial to look ahead, be involved and evolve with the times as media and communications technology are constantly changing with trends, developing and improving.

    Taking bet transactions and translating into computer system under strict deadlines, answering phone and dealing with any customer queries. We were in direct competition with Ladbrokes at this location so it was vital to attract and retain customers through a friendly and fast service. It was important to keep informed on latest betting opportunities, which could be promoted through friendly discussions with customers.

Key Achievements

  • Saved over £30,000 in recruitment fees by promoting use of online recruitment and providing support to managers in the recruitment & selection process.
  • Took on administration for over 200 company car drivers and have improved the efficiency and accuracy of company records and communications in this area.
  • Created two user-friendly and informative guide books for the company on Maternity Leave and Inductions.
