Jim Knight

Jim Knight, Rt Hon Lord Knight of Weymouth, Shadow Employment minister, Associate Director

Jim was the longest serving Schools minister in the last Labour government, he also served as Rural Affairs minister and Employment minister. He attended weekly Cabinet in the year running up to the 2010 General Election, and was made a life peer in the Dissolution Honours List after that election. Lord Knight was the last Labour gain from the Tories when he won in Dorset in 2001, and surprised many by increasing his Parliamentary majority in 2005; however political gravity caught up with him in 2010 when the seat was regained by the Conservatives. Prior to his Parliamentary career Jim was a director of a telephone directory publishing business in the West Country, leader of the Labour group on Mendip District Council, and Mayor of Frome.

Jim's main policy interests are education, employment, skills and digital technology. He saw through the instigation of the policy and the legislation to raise the education leaving age to 18, was responsible for the implementation of the 14-19 diploma reforms, the Building Schools of the Future and Academy programmes, school admissions and devised the computer Home Access Scheme. Most recently, he led the work across government on integrating employment and skills training, and on the digital transformation of public services. Having co-ordinated Ed Balls Leadership Campaign he is now focussing on his role as Shadow Employment minister in the Lords, and as a consultant in education & training policy internationally. He is also on the board of the Arsenal Fanshare Society, is a vice-President of the LGA and is a trustee of the e-Learning Foundation.

Daniel Lyons

Daniel Lyons, Managing Director

Daniel is a successful entrepreneur with a strong track record in developing and investing in a range of companies across business sectors.

Daniel began by building a number of marketing companies, specialising in design and production of promotional gifts through his Hong Kong office. Following his success in these areas, Daniel has branched into a number of other sectors, including global property investment and development. Daniel's current projects surround what he feels is a market gap in further education and e-learning.

Daniel sits on the boards of a number of businesses, schools and charities, and is passionate about ongoing education.

Adam Lewis

Adam Lewis, Chief Operating Officer

Adam joins the Innovate CV team with a strong background in Management Consulting. He has functional expertise in operating-model development, business strategy, post-merger integration and new business set-up. Before joining Innovate CV, Adam worked at Accenture, the global Management Consultancy. Adam graduated with a Law degree from the University of London.

Adam is very involved in a number of charitable and community organisations, and has a keen interest in team operational excellence and leadership development. Whilst at Accenture, Adam set-up and ran fortnightly training sessions covering a range of subjects available to employees across the firm. Adam himself presented on business strategy as well as post-merger integration, having been involved in numerous investment banking post-merger projects. Adam was a short-listed nominee for the UK & Ireland People Developer of the Year Award.

Daniella Winton

Daniella Winton, Director of Sales & Marketing

Daniella began her career in Marketing and Advertising and subsequently moved into Recruitment over 20 years ago at Alexander Mann Associates. At AMA Daniella was responsible for setting up and developing the Accountancy Recruitment to Recruitment Division.

Following her time at AMA, Daniella established Laurence Caine Ltd, the first independent Recruitment to Recruitment company in the UK, and subsequently, as in her role as Managing Director, led the company into new markets abroad.

Daniella has now joined Innovate CV as Director of Sales and Marketing drawing on experience from both the recruitment agency industry perspective and the client/candidate perspective. Daniella holds a BA (Hons) Economics and is also actively involved in supporting a range of charities.

Jonathan Phillips

Jonathan Phillips, Chief Finance Officer

Jonathan completed his accountancy training at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Johannesburg, and subsequently transferred to the Computer Audit department. Following a move to London in 2001, Jonathan developed his skills in the Insurance sector, initially working for Canada Life, and then as Finance Manager at Radian.

In 2007 Jonathan moved into property development project, whilst also spearheading an educational venture, where he has been responsible for bringing new training methodologies and educational systems to the UK.

Jonathan holds a B.Compt (Hons) (Unisa) and is a qualified Chartered Accountant CA (SA). He is on the board of, and is actively involved in a local school and charitable organisation.

William Lee

William Lee, Chief Technical Officer

William has a background in software development and technical project management. Before joining Innovate CV William founded Breeze Capsule, a software service provider that specialises in rapid prototyping and product development for IT start-ups.

William was the product delivery manager and senior architect at InforSense, a data mining software provider for life science and the financial industry. In this role he was responsible for defining and managing the quality assurance and development process across all product lines.

William graduated with a Computer Science degree from Imperial College London, subsequently William played an integral part of the Imperial College e-Science research team. Following this, he was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in E-commerce (Economics and Management) from the University of London. He is a keen practitioner of the SCRUM development method and has a strong interest in assisting software start-ups to adopt a strong process right from the start.

Ryan Garman

Ryan Garman, Director of University Relations US

Ryan joins Innovate CV with years of start-up experience having built and sold multiple companies after launching his first national organization as a sophomore at Santa Clara University. Ryan was Co-founder and President of AllDorm, a North American based marketing & media company that focused on the collegiate market. Over his six years at AllDorm, Ryan built strong relationships with colleges and fell in love with the dynamic environment whilst mastering the trade of detailed planning and process.

His education is a combination of Economics, Operations Management Information Systems (OMIS) and Philosophy from Harvard University, Santa Clara University and the London campus of Syracuse University.
